St Nicolas Church is keen to appoint an Organist and Assistant Choir Director who will play for our 9.15 Sunday Morning Service each week and Sunday Choral Evensong once a month, together with other services (including, where possible, weddings and funerals) as required. We also envisage the successful applicant assisting the Director of Music in leading the Choir.
Music is seen as a vital component in the church's overall vision of 'Sharing the Life of Jesus Today'. St Nicolas encompasses a wide range of worship styles and anyone coming into this post would need to be a committed Christian who is conversant and comfortable with everything from traditional hymns and anthems to contemporary worship songs.
