God our Father, we have come together as your family,
to offer you our praise.
Lord, help us to praise you. We have come to hear what you have to say to us.
Lord, help us to listen to you. We have come to enjoy the friendship of all our
brothers and sisters in Christ.
Lord, help us to love each other. We have come to pray for the needs of the world.
Lord, help us to pray in faith. We come asking forgiveness of our sins.
Lord, help us to be sorry and to live your way.
INTRODUCTION 02Loving God, we have come to worship you.
Help us to pray to you in faith,
to sing your praise with gratitude,
and to listen to your word with eagerness;
through Christ our Lord. Amen.

We are not once a week friends,
We are the family of God.
We are not a cosy club,
We are the body of Christ.
We are not just strangers meeting,
We are temples of the Holy Spirit.
We are not here by accident,
Our Father has called us to worship.
We are not just filling up an hour,
Jesus wants us to know him better.
We are not just going through the motions,
The Holy Spirit has some special words for us.
So come; draw near to our God,
And God will draw near to us.
